Cultural Performances
The Dragon Stage will be the location of the Dragon Boat Festival's Cultural Performances, all of which will be Chinese. The entertainment starts at 10:30 a.m. and continues for two hours, almost time to Wake the Dragons for the Races. The Wake the Dragons Ceremony will be beside Brush Creek at 1:00 p.m. Our visiting dignitaries from China who are here to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of our Kansas City-Xi'an Sister Cities relationship will be our special guests at the Ceremony.
The following events will be on the Dragon Stage:
- Red Ribbon Dance -- Jasmine Chinese Dance Group
- Honey Bee Dance -- Zhangli Dance School
- Children sing and dance -- Ho Down Throw Down
- Martial Arts Performance -- Shaoli Martial Arts School
- Mongolian Dance or Fan Dance -- Adult Dance Group, KCCA
- Mongolian Dance -- Jasmine Chinese Dance Group
- Instrumental Music -- Zheng and Erhu
- Mongolian Dance -- Zhangli Dance School
- Choral Music -- Chinese Chorus
- Han Umbrella Dance -- Jasmine Chinese Dance Group
- Fashion Show -- Adult Dance Group, KCCA
