Membership
The Society for friendship with China hosts other activities during the year, the most exciting being when we have delegations, artists, or entertainers visiting from China. Sometimes we get together for a program presented by friends and supporters in the Kansas City area and enjoy a Chinese Banquet. Members and friends of the Society are invited to these events. We encourage you to join The Society and get on the mailing and e-mail lists to be informed of all these activities. 2010 Membership Levels, Dues and Benefits:
- $15 Student - $50 free dinner and gift in return
- $30 Single - $50 free dinner and gift in return
- $50 Family – $100 free dinner and gift in return
- $100 Benefactor – $100 free dinner and gift in return
- $250 Sponsor – $100 free dinner and gift in return
- $500 Patron - $100 free dinner and gift in return
- $1000 Corporate - $100 free dinner and gift in return
2010 Society events with opportunities for sponsors and members:
- January 31 - Chinese New Year Celebration, RSVP is required.
- March 21st - Lantern Festival (free dinner with your membership) RSVP is required.
- May 30 - Enjoy music in the VIP tent at Membership Appreciation Night during the Dragon Boat kickoff party at Loose Park, Member have a chance to launching a lanterns into the water. RSVP is required. (Priceless!)
- June 12 - The Annual Dragon Boat Festival -- members visiting our VIP booth will receive a special rice dumpling and a small commemorative Dragon Boat, RSVP is required.
- August 21 - The Kansas City Ethnic Festival -- members enjoy free VIP tea and snacks (a $5 value for members).
- September 24 -26 - Plaza Art Fair -- free Chinese Paper Cutting for members at the booth (a $5 value for members).
- September 22 - Moon Festival. Non members $25. RSVP is required. (Members save $10).
