2012, The 8th Annual Kansas City International Dragon Boat Festival

The 2012 was the best Dragon Boat Festival a wonderful event. The weather was excellent. The college teams were very enthusiastic and took coaching well. Everyone had a chance to be successful on the water. Kudos to everyone. We count this as a huge success.

College Division

1st Place: UMKC SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise club); $1,500 Scholarship

2nd Place: Johnson County Community College International Club; $1,000 Scholarship

3rd Place: K-State and UMKC Delta Zeta tied for third place; $500 scholarship each

Civic Division

1st Place: Rotary Club 13

2nd Place: Kansas City Parks and Recreation

3rd Place: City of Kansas City
